Orlando Wedding Photography Blog

By Kevin Graham

Photos from Stefanie and Vincent’s Winter Garden engagement session were published to the blog several months back. I had a great time getting to know them and was very excited about photographing their wedding at The Veranda at Thornton Park in downtown Orlando.

We met up with Stefanie and her attendants as they were getting their hair and makeup at the Orlando Embassy Suites. From there, we headed to The Veranda at Thornton Park where they finished getting ready.

The Veranda at Thornton Park

It had been a couple years since I last photographed at a wedding at this location (formerly known as The Summerlin House). The new ownership has done an amazing job in turning things around and I can’t wait to photograph another wedding here.

Vincent and Stefanie were married in the courtyard by Major Peppers. Stefanie’s dad did a fantastic job in making the pipes and drapes that made for the backdrop to the ceremony. Stefanie carried a fan made from fabric from her mother’s wedding dress.

There was a surprise to the wedding — none of the guests knew in advance, but Vincent wasn’t standing at the alter as the bridesmaids were about to come down the aisle. Suddenly, tires screeched, and Vincent runs in from the back. Helps himself to a martini as the James Bond theme plays and rushes down the aisle. The guests loved it!

After the ceremony, I took the bridal party across the street for some fun photos.

The courtyard was transformed in to a reception area where guests danced under the starlit night to music by Pro Event DJ. The James Bond theme continues as the couple danced to Live and Let Die and the signature drink was a martini – shaken, not stirred.

Stefanie and Vincent was an extremely nice couple and it was our honor to be their wedding photographer.

Congratulations again to Stefanie and Vincent. Please enjoy these photos!
