Last month, I posted photos from Miranda and Jeff’s wonderful wedding at Lakeside Hall in Orlando. Several weeks later we met the couple again in Winter Garden to have a “Rock the Dress” session. To see photos from their Orlando Wedding, please Click Here.

Jeff is a firefighter with the Winter Garden Fire Department. Initially when Miranda said she wanted to do a rock the dress session, my response was, “Can we get the truck?” When I arrived at the fire station, I was excited to use the fire truck as a background for some of the initial photos. Jeff put on his gear for some of the photos as well.

Jeff changed out of his firefighter gear, and we picked up Abby for some more photos. Abby is a black labrador retriever who loves people and will lick you to death if you let her. We headed to Chapin Station in Winter Garden to take a few photos with their lab.

We ended the day with a beautiful sunset over Lake Apopka followed by some delicious pizza at Winter Garden Pizza Company.

We had a great time and it was so much fun doing this rock the dress session with these two.

I hope you enjoy these pictures!

Miranda is the type of person that the first time she meets someone she will give them a hug before she even learns their name. Jeff is the quiet type who has dedicated his life to helping others. And when they approached me about photographing their wedding, I considered myself honored to work for such a wonderful couple!

This was the first time I shot a wedding at the Lakeside Reception Hall in Orlando. Its lakefront location made for a great backdrop to a sunset wedding and the inside hall with the brick fireplace provided for a beautiful location for a reception.

Lakeside Hall, was built by the Central Florida Union Firefighters with all proceeds benefiting the Firefighters Benevolent Association. Jeff is a firefighter with the Winter Garden Fire Department as were many of his groomsmen. After taking a group photo of his fellow firefighters, I thought to myself, “I hope there isn’t a cat stuck in a tree in Winter Garden right now”.

Firefighting details were aplenty at the reception — Did you know you can buy a personalized axe? I didn’t! But, they used a personalized fire axe to cut their wedding cake! The groom’s cake was a firefighter’s helmet and the cake topper was of a firefighter and a bride (even down to the red hair). And, they were introduced to We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel.

The flowers and bouquets, provided by Jonathan’s Flowers were amazing with the peacock feather accents. Our DJ Rocks provided the rest of the entertainment! Kristin, from Our DJ Rocks, kept the guests dancing all night. She also did an amazing job with up-lighting as well as providing a photo booth.

A special moment from early in the day is pictured below. That is when Miranda and Jeff stood in a hallway holding hands, but unable to see each other around the corner. It was a sweet moment and a fun thing to do, while still holding true to the tradition of waiting until the ceremony for the groom to see the bride in her dress.

Everyone had a great time at the reception. Although, it definitely helped to have 4 Rivers as your caterer! It was also easy to tell that the guests cared very much for and were genuinely happy for Jeff and Miranda.

I also would like to thank Ali who provided additional photography coverage.

Jeff and Miranda, thank you for sharing your day with us. I know you two are going to be happy for many years to come!
