We were honored to be an event photographer at the 23rd Annual Taste of the Nation Orlando held last weekend at the Orlando World Center Marriott. The event raised $248,785 to fight childhood hunger benefiting the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
It was a fantastic event featuring food samples from 37 of Central Florida’s leading restaurants as well as beverages from 18 other locations. There were also silent and live auctions as well as a raffle to win a 100-bottle wine cellar.
The emcees for this year’s event were Scott McKenzie of MIX 105.1 and Paco of 105.9 SUNNY FM. There was a “throw-down” cooking competition between a chef from Orlando World Center Marriott and Rosen Shingle Creek. The competition was judged by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orlando Restaurant Guide’s Scott Joseph, and WFTV anchor Bob Opsahl. Also in attendance was U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and his wife Grace.
