This past week, I spent some time with an awesome couple, Judith and Samuel, shooting their engagement photos at Downtown Disney. They were a great couple to work with. They had great chemistry and were constantly making one another smile and laugh. They only got engaged several weeks ago, and you can tell they are very much in love.

Downtown Disney was their idea, and despite the crowds and tourists’ desire to find their way into the shot, it was a FABULOUS place to photograph. We worked our way all the way from the Downtown Disney Marketplace, through Pleasure Island on to West Side. We even ventured through some of the busy stores.
Below are some of my favorite images of the day.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year is the Wedding Pavilion at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  Situated on its own private island, the pavilion can hold up to 300 wedding guests.  While there are many different locations across Walt Disney World where couples can be married, the Wedding Pavilion is by far the most popular, hosting as many as five weddings a day.  The backdrop to the altar is a window which perfectly frames Cinderella Castle.

On the island is the bridal vestibule, a private area where the bride and bridesmaids can get ready.  Also, across the way is Franck’s Studio.  Named after the character portrayed by Martin Short in Father of the Bride, Franck’s is the location where you meet with the Disney wedding coordinators to discuss and plan all of the details of the wedding.  Franck’s is not open to the general public and can be visited by appointment only.

A popular destination wedding location, Walt Disney World is also very popular for vow renewals.  As a result, Disney is very accommodating to requests that a couple may have including hotel accommodations, theme park admission, and transportation.  Disney is great at customizing everything about the wedding day to match the couple’s taste and style.  Disney can provide photographers for the day for a premium, however, you are more than welcome to use your own photographer.
